Andrew Ross Woodturning.
Here you will find
information on the art and craft of woodturning, as well as information on
purchasing hand made items by Andrew Ross from his Aberdeen based workshop. You
will also find information on commissioning turned items and how you can get
something made from wood taken from a fallen tree of your own. In the gallery
you can view a range of turned items such as bowls, platters, boxes, goblets,
vases, mushrooms, eggs, hollow forms and natural edge pieces which give an idea
as to what is available for purchase or commission.
Andrew is also a
NPTC (National Proficiency Tests Council) qualified Tree Surgeon and previously
worked for an Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor. He has his own
chainsaw, climbing equipment and personal protective gear and is willing to
undertake small jobs if required, providing of course he has the time. If you have a fallen tree or recently felled
a tree in your garden and don’t know what to do with the wood, Andrew may be
willing to take some of it off your hands. He could even turn something out of
the wood so that you have a memory of that tree which will last long after it is
gone.
